Description
The Running Tour begins at Encumeada in a Levada, then we pass two long tunnels hand-built by our ancestors, to transport the water north to the south of the island.
After the first 4 km we enter the beautiful green Laurissilva forest with a great diversity of trees and plants with waterfalls, it is one of the most beautiful trails of the island, a calm place and with the smell of plants and trees in the an extra energy.
Then we go uphill, we reach the top and we have a view over the São Vicente valley, we follow a trail with another type of endemic vegetation with different scenarios.
The last part of the trail is a slight descent with the view of the Serra de Agua valley, a wonderful descent to the end of the trail and we end at Encumeada, where we stop for a drink.
